IMPORTANT NOTICE TO UNAFFILIATED EMPLOYEES Long term nursing care is a serious and costly form of health care. Recognizing this problem, the City of Auburn is offers a new, low cost, long-term care insurance plan. This plan is underwritten by Unum, one of the nation’s leaders in insurance of this type. It is now available on to all employees who work at least 20 hours per week. A base plan is provided at no cost to you. Additional coverage is available on a voluntary, employee paid basis, with Guarantee Issue until for new employees. Spouses, siblings, adult children, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents and grandparents-in-law may also apply at Group Rates. Medical evidence of insurability will be required.
