Lake Washington School District General Information The general Guaranteed issue enrollment period is closed. However new employees* may apply and anyone else interested in applying are asked to call 425-861-8700 or call the Payroll department at the Resource Center at 425-702-3200 in order to sign up. All employees are encouraged to consider this important coverage. * New Employees are guaranteed to be accepted regardless of medical history if application is made during the enrollment period following the date of hire. IMPORTANT INSURANCE NOTICE Long term nursing care is a serious and costly form of health care. Recognizing this problem, the Lake Washington School District offers a, low cost long-term care insurance plan. Underwritten by one of the nation’s leaders in insurance of this type, UNUM, it is now available on a voluntary basis to all employees who work at least 17½ hours per week. Spouses, siblings, adult children, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents and grandparents-in-law may also apply at Group Rates. Please read further for important coverage details and rates.
